What would be a good career choice based on this kind of experience?

Hello! I work at Foxwoods Casino as a security dispatcher, and have been doing so for almost 5 years. I want to go back to school and maybe get a degree in something based on my experience in Security or something to do with law enforcement (not a police officer). I have training in things like CPR / AED, Powerphone: law enforcement dispatch, alarm monitoring / Identicard, camera coverage review and more like this relating to security. I know that a lot of high paying jobs will not hire you without experience, so that is why I want to continue my education based on what I have experienced at my job. What do you think the best high paying job is, in your opinion, based on this? Thank you!!

What would be a good career choice based on this kind of experience?
Depending on how much school you're willing to endure, then becoming a criminal lawyer would probably be the most profitable career path. Many people get into government law (district attorney's office) right out of school. The pay isn't great, but it's often a stepping stone--you either (a) work your way up to District Attorney, or (b) go into criminal defense, both of which can be lucrative.

Otherwise, private security firms can be a good way to go, too.

Good luck!
Reply:I second the forensics option, but do a technology focus, thats where big bucks would come in. You could also do something like computer science or engineering, sounds like you'd like something for example with spy gadgets. Or just go into a business major and supplement it with tech classes.

I always thought a good new business would be to take care of peoples identity theft problems. It hasnt happened to me, but for people who get hit hard, sounds like there's a lot of work to get your name/credit cleared up.
