Men.. what is your true and honest opinion about stretch marks on a lady?

Should she cover it up.. or get into that bikini and not worry that she maybe grossing out the guys?





I have seen very little opinions on this in real life, but I know ladies who wouldn't dare show them, is it really a big deal visually to men, or do you really not pay THAT close attention to the marks??

Men.. what is your true and honest opinion about stretch marks on a lady?
It saddens me that any man would be insensitive and superficial enough to say stretch marks were "gross." How utterly juvenile and thoughtless. To a mature and decent man, such manifestations of the natural order of things are decidedly not a big deal. Indeed, any man who actually does pay close attention to such things doesn't warrant a lady's time and attention, period.





As to whether or not a woman should "cover up," I guess that's entirely up to each individual woman as to her relative comfort zone. But if I had any say in the matter I would reassure her that it was anything but unattractive and that she should rethink any relationship with a man who thought otherwise. To me, stretch marks signify motherhood, and motherhood is a beautiful thing.

Reply:Not a man,but wanted to answer this one anyway from my husband's point of view. He can be very critical of certain things at times. Stretch marks is at the bottom of that list,if it is even on the list at all! Even while at the beach where many different shaped women are wearing bikini's,I have never once in the 20 years we've been together,heard him say,"OMG!!!" "Look at those stretch marks!!!" I've heard many other comments come from that mouth,but never this one. If he hasn't noticed it...it is not a big factor.


I believe that it is the woman who is more self-conscious and critical of her own body. I have stretch marks and I know that they are there and I use to think they looked horrid,but hey,after 3 kids and my weight increasing by 35-50 pounds with each one,I am darn proud of those stretch marks now. It is almost as if God leaves us with stretch marks to remind us,even 50 years from now,that we have a wonderful family and it started with those stretch marks.
Reply:I think ladies are more conscious of this than men, I mean there are cover ups but unless you model for a living its a waste of time as the men in your lives they look well past what the exterior shows as whats inside is the sum total of a person. If he doesn't your with the wrong person I know this may sound blase and possibly BS coming from a man but hey i have no reason to BS about it. The exterior may be what brings people together initially but whats inside a person is what keeps them together.JuJu
Reply:I probably fall somewhere in the middle on the "critical" of others appearance scale. Stretch marks honestly do not bother me, they are something natural and honestly do not ellicit much of a response from me positively or negatively.





I really hope that this doesn't come off making me sound like a jerk but I am ususally far more critical of people that euphamistcally are in bathing suits that are not right for their body type (if you get my drift). People of all shapes sizes and body types can all look attractive at the beach or pool. But they should try and wear a suit that fits well and flatters their body style.

Reply:I am a women, but i can tell you that out of 100% 99.5% men are not bothered about the marks.
Reply:Well you know I'm not a man CW lol but I had to answer this one also. I have stretch marks worse then most women dream of, infact it looks like a beast tried to claw it's way out of me. No tiny pink lines for me.....long think ones covering the majority of my abdomin and my stomache, and believe it or not I only gained 35 pound when I was pregnant. I am proud to wear everyone of them as they are proof of motherhood and it was my sons first artwork.....i just can't hang it on the fridge lol I have a little extra wieght to loose before I go crawling into a two piece bathing suit but when I loose the wieght I will wear it and motherhood will show wheather the man or women on the other side of the beach or pool cares to see it. If you are comfortable with them showing then I think your confidence and beauty is what will shine not that strech marks. If you lack in confidence then it will be what shows. Women of any size or colour with any mark or flaw can be beautiful it is how you display it. There is always a tasteful way and a not so tasteful way of showcasing your attributes, it's just finding a way to work with what you have or do not have. Thats just my thoughts anyway.

Reply:not all stretch marks are from having children. i was a heavy teenager and got a few. this ARBR or something guy needs a bit more education...ps ....not all women get them when they have children

Reply:Well honestly, stretch marks is a huge evidence of that woman is no longer a virgin. Stretch marks occurs to the woman during their pregnancy. So most provably she might driving guys away.

Reply:on some Lady's its hot and on some its not. i like it cause it show you that woman doesn't care what people think no matter if they got them or not and that the woman for me a woman that don't let every body opinion get to her good luck
