Is it true that the house passed a law allowing illegals to collect Social Security?

If so Bush I think bush should veto that bill. Nothing against illegas but if you haven't paid into it you shouldn't be able to collect on it or the ones who did pay in will get less or nothing out of it.

Whats your opinion?

Is it true that the house passed a law allowing illegals to collect Social Security?
No. In the mid-1970s the Congress passed Public Law # 94-223 which permitted certain legal immigrants to collect SSI and Medicaid health benefits for a period of up to two years after being allowed to enter the U.S. Those were primarily Indochinese refugees who came here after the collapse of Saigon in April of 1975. SSI is supplemental income and is not connected to Social Security pension programs.
Reply:No, it's not true. Same lie, different year. They like to spread those so you ignore what Bush does.
Reply:Yes, I don't who passed it, but I read it on a www/site. It also stated how many foreign people, not just Mexicans, were living in another country and drawing ss. What will the people who need workers do? If we didn't have these people. Most Americans hate labor type jobs(I do). Everyone is trying for that sheepskin to avoid the shovel.
Reply:No. In order to get social security, you have to have a social security number, which requires you have proof of citizenship.
Reply:I know they have been talking about it.....but I think if they approve that bill the government will be making a big mistake because it will do nothing but p*** Americans off.
Reply:I'm not sure. But if it did get past the Senate and to Bush, he probably would sign it, he is pro illegal and pro amnesty. I think we should close the borders and man the fence with the military, then make the illegals in this country work to earn their citizenship.
