What's your opinion of the "pre-race" pass at the Daytona Speedway, that lets you walk onto the track?

they let you look in the pits, etc. It's $60 per person, and we'd be paying for 3 people. Please only answer if you've purchased the "pre-race" pass and experienced it before. In your opinion, was it worth the fee?

I have paid for my son and myself to do the prerace "pitroad tour" a Talladega. It is ok to get an idea of the size and location of things around the tri-oval.It is also the closes some get to being in and around the garage areas.
Reply:IF YOU HAVE BEEN ON ONE TRACK YOU HAVE BEEN ON THEM ALL. IT IS NOY WORTH THE EXTRA COST.
Reply:if it's on raceday, it probably won't be worth it because there is really not that much to see in the pits, and all the drivers will be in the garage area, where you will not be allowed. BUT, i get them for friday, qualifying day, for every richmond race, and yes, they are worth their weight in gold. that's because all the drivers, crew chiefs, owners, and TV personalities are walking all around the pits during qualifying. i always get tons of autographs. but like i said, getting them on raceday is a different story.
Reply:i would, its not like daytona happens every day.
