I don't think that it's fair that people in the entertainment buisness(actors, actresses, etc.) and professional sports(NBA, NFL, etc.) make more money in a year than most other people will make in their whole lives. All they do is entertain people. They don't really help much. There are doctors, nurses, policemen and firemen out there saving people's lives , protecting people and making a difference in their communities and they get paid far less than them. Why is that?
How would America be different if doctors, nurses, policemen, and firemen made as much money as people in the entertainment buisness and professional sports or if doctors, nurses, policemen and firemen got paid more and people in the entertainment buisness and professional sports got paid less? All opinions welcome!!!
Does anyone think it's fair that people in the entertainment buisness and professional sports get paid more?
well they work hard to get that job. %26amp; it's pretty hard to get it..
In my perspective, Actors and Actresses got paid less... they would have to go through a normal life basis. and It might SUCK for them... because they have to clean up their own mess instead of a maid.. and they really wouldn't be famous.. but they still would get paid more, because ppl come there to watch what they're acting and with that money they collect it and become rich.!! It's not like we're all going to watch the doctor and pay them or nurses.. policemen.!! There is entertainment for a reason and I enjoy it, and that's why i go to the movies. and when i do that they get my money! LOL.. so yea! and if they got so rich ( doctors, nurses.. ECT..) they would work and travel everywhere a better life aint it? and more ppl can be a doctor or have a better job ! it can be great.. instead of being a celebrity.. with no sence of brain and being homesckooled.. yeah.. they annoy me
Reply:One major issue is supply and demand. There is more of a demand of good entertainers than there is for a mainstream job like a nurse or policeman. Also the money made off of the entertainment business as a whole is in the trillions. The way people are paid by occupation is rationed to the demand of their trade. If mainstream jobs like doctors and nurses swapped pay with actors and actresses, the economy would not balance due to the fact that there are lots more doctors and nurses than actors and actresses(famous ones, atleast). The value of the dollar would drop ect. ect. In a perfect world those who we need the most, like policeman fire fighters and doctors, make just as much as actors and actresses, but unfortunately things dont work that way.
