Opinion on if this business would work?

I know we've all heard of paying for erotic phone calls and stuff like that, but do you think there would be any profit in an erotic chat service, where you can cyber one on one and have your fantasies fulfilled? I would assume there are people out there willing to pay for it, so at like $5 a conversation (at a min of 30 minutes), you think people would buy it?

Theres stuff like that, but they are filed under Web Cams, im not sure about straight text. That would work though if you market it right, some people love a mystery. Or you can post a pic or something, i dunno, good luck, sounds like fun XD

Reply:$5 a conversation? you'd make money for $5/5min. there are lots of sicko's out there who would pay for it and even if there was already a site like this, i'm sure you'd still have plenty of customers
Reply:Yes, "it would work" (ie - someone somewhere would pay for it) ... but no, it wouldn't be profitable. You are getting paid $10 an hour for online chatting. While it may supplement income here and there, it wouldn't be sustainable due to overhead for advertising, accounting, and equipment costs. Moreover, you are competing with people who chat and do this stuff for free. I doubt there would be much profit unless there is some unique aspect to it worth paying extra or until companies make chat a paid for service instead of free.
