So the historical significance of the civil war appears to be democracy, a constitutional monarchy, elected parliament, and a step towards human rights.
However, our individual needs are still no met today. but at least a group of leaders are better than ONE dictator..
BUT!
We're biased aren't we?
The parliament itself is a problem to begin with. The nobles and merchants in the parliament didn't want to pay taxes. So as Charles I was depicted as the evil, corrupted man, he just wanted to raise money for the taxes via ship money. Charles I wanted a united church, but parliament said no nevertheless because he was Scottish.
Aren't opinions biased in books?
So what is the truth to you?
If this was to be drawn in an image/cartoon, what would you draw?
-Just curious- -I'd probably join a broken earth and write in Parliament's Shame-
Your opinion to English Civil War? What would you draw to describe this?
To sum it up, is was very ineffective, there were some English left.
Reply:A bit like the ACW, wrong but romantic (confederates\cavaliers against right but repulsive (roundheads/Yankees)
