Do you think the cowboys are right to want terry gleen to sign a injury waiver.like jerry said he was paid?

last year 5 million and he only got 4 catches out of him. i think its right.5 million for 4 cathes hell i need to make that money.i just want your opinion

Heck yes i'd want him to sign that waiver. this is why i think contracts should have better injury clauses in them in case of injuries like TG has and they should all be incentive bases so a player like TG doesn't get 5 mil of my money to sit on his duff not playing for my team when i could have put that money elsewhere and paid his for his injury which we all know probably cost only about 250g's and another 100g's to feed his family during the season. To me thats way plenty enough money.
Reply:Yes, the business side of football can appear nasty, but the offer that Jerry has on the table is more than fair.

Basically he has offered to pay the $1.7 M if Terry plays, but what he wants is for Terry to sign a $500K waiver, in the event that Terry is unable to come back from his two knee surgeries.

Jerry could release him and pay him NOTHING more than the millions he has already paid him.

No team would offer him more than the league minumum, thus he would lose money.

If Terry can't comeback, then he is still taken care of...if can, then he still has a lucrative paycheck.

It's a win-win for everyone and again shows that Jerry Jones takes care of his players.

I wish someone would give me this type of option!!!
Reply:When i first heard, it surprised me. JJ was telling the media constantly that terry was doing fine and that he wasnt participating voluntary workouts because he was working out his legs by himself so that he wont get injured. but when JJ slapped this on him, it made me think that the Cowboys lost confidence in TG's injury. very upsetting. i was hoping that T.G. would make a great comeback. but if i think on the business side, i would have to agree that it was a business decision. it makes sense, but it hurt the fans
Reply:I think its right and wrong. Business is business. I think he's making 1.7 million this year so in a sense 1.2 million (1.7-500,00=1.2 they'd be saving if he got hurt) is nothing to Jerry Jones but that 5 million they gave him last year for ZERO production hurts, even someone like JJ. That being said business side its not wrong but from a personal stand point I don't agree with it, It could turn Glenn off making him feel not wanted.
Reply:Yeah, Terry Glenn is getting old and is obviously more prone to injuries now that he is older. I don't have a problem with Dallas asking him to do this... they're just trying to cover their own a**, same as you and I would do.
Reply:Damn I could catch 4 passes!! I think it makes sense... Glenn is gettin up in his yrs and just isnt a "powerhouse" WR anymore... nothin but love n respect for Glenn but its time he steps down... he's gonna totally f' up his knee and we know Upshaw doesnt help pay out past players who are hurting..
Reply:I think they should cut Terry Glenn he is a flake and injury prone. Give the money to the rest of the team, make all the players most pumped up and ready to win, then go to the superbowl! Gosh!
Reply:absolutily they are look at his track record ,,he cant stay healthy he's proved over and over ,,i believe he's only had 1 or 2 seasons where he played every game
Reply:thats why green bay got rid of him in the first place

after one season with them and i can understand why jj is pist and personally he isnt owrth it let his azz go
Reply:I think its the right move. I'd do the same, but I really hope Glenn can pull it out this season. He would help us out so much even with all the weapons we already have.
