In your opinion how should pay in a first date and why?

I think going "dutch" on a first date is a good idea. That way you can weed out the creeps that think buying dinner means buying sex. After the first date I think whoever asks the other person to go out should pay.

Reply:Men should. It gives a good feeling for both. For him it will be a kind being the leader and the mastering person. For her gentle and manly gesture.
Reply:A man should always pay on the first date. In my opinion, a man should pay on every date unless the lady has planned the date herself as a special surprise. One word: CHIVALRY! :)
Reply:Entirely depends on you and your date. I'm a girl and I love to treat people. I therefore prefer to pay for both my date and myself. Unfortunately, my b/f also likes to pay. We therefore alternate.


On a first date, when the bill comes, offer to pay halves and see how your date reacts. If they offer to foot the bill in its entirity and you are happy for that to happen you have a solution to your problem. If not, simply pay your share of the bill.


Of course, if you are like myself you may also offer to pay the full bill, but watch their reaction, as some dates may be offended if you are too insistent about this.
