What is your opinion on user or entry fees to state parks?

Why are you for or against them. How much is too much to pay? Do you know what these fees are used for?

What is your opinion on user or entry fees to state parks?
i dont know what the fees are right now but they use that money to maintain the parks, the state has been cutting funding from all aspects of programs so they have to do something to maintain the parks, to keep them clean and safe for alot of people, i do not disagree with paying a fee,
Reply:I don't think, entry to state parks should be free. Because everybody's job is nobody's job. Comfort %26amp; security related to parks, in such situation, will go to hell.


When you pay, means somebody is there to look after to ensure your safety, security and comfort while you are just in. You can atleast ask someone for anything wrong going.





Free entry will not let you have this right to ask anybody down there to keep things in order. Free things are sometimes extremely bitter, you know.


So, why not to pay 5-10 dollars a season to have nice time there in the parks.
Reply:I think it is OK, because if your paying a small entrance fee, your more apt to respect the place.

It's nature and ought to be open and unfettered.

Reply:5 dollars for a season is fine i assume they are used for upkeep of the park and to help pay for the rangers why am i for them because i would be paying the same amount for parking somewhere else at least im outside being active at a park
Reply:Another excuse to tax people. Oh I'm sorry! Its called "revenue enhancement" now.
Reply:It would be nice to have state parks free to everyone but the reality is they need the funds for upkeep and stuff. It also helps instill a feeling of responsibility in the visitors. People take things less for granted when they have to pay for em.
