I NEED YOUR OPINION! Is a mitsubishi 2001 galant ES a good car?

So, i want to buy this car


2001 Mitsubishi galant ES, 100 000 miles, how much can I pay for it. I just really don't want to pay for anything extra to fix in the future and end up paying a lot of money.

My wife had a 2003 Gallant with about 60,000 miles on it and it was making a horrible noise when she cranked it in the mornings so we traded it for a Ford Escape. I don't know about the 2001 models. I would go with either a Honda or a Toyota if you are looking for good gas mileage.

Reply:Mitsubishi makes excellent cars. as long as its not ragged out, it sounds like a good buy to me
Reply:i wouldnt buy it for more than 5 thousand unless its fully loaded and leather than ill probably go up a few hundred...but nothing more than that.. oh and i say 5 for a galant in BEST condition.. also FYI mitusbishis are notorious for have weak transmissions and they have to be replaced every 150 to 175k
