Does anyone know anything about these "get paid for filling out surveys"?

What I mean is: are they a scam? Yes, it costs you $$ to sign up for these things. Is there anyone out there who has done this, and is it a good thing or not? YES, the money amounts you can make do sound too good to be true, and-well, you know--if it sounds too good. . .Your opinion, please.

Reply:Do not pay to sign up to any of the so called Survey Databases. Any of the legitamate Survey Sites are 100% free to join.


Visit http://www.cashforsurveys.co.uk for a list of the free sites available, I use this Site as it is updated regularly and they do write some good reviews on the various Sites so you know what rewards you will get. They do also have an International section if you don't live in the UK. Good Luck!
Reply:Many are scam, but there are legitimate places. After all, surveys are market research tools





The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.





Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.





Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

It's a legit survey company they don't charge anything to join and I have always gotten paid on time- been there 3 months.
